So this guy meets this girl, and then…

Our Process

Ideation

“I have a great idea for a movie!  This guy meets a girl, and… well, it needs work from there…”  Every great movie begins with a great idea, and then that idea gets tossed back and forth for a while.  Next thing you know, you have something worth writing down.

Writing

Dan Glickman, the former CEO of the Motion Picture Association, once said, “The success of the movie industry comes from the story. And the story comes from somebody putting something down on paper.”  That’s certainly one way to look at it.  We’d say it takes a great script to make a great story come to life.

Producing

The big screen slowly sparkles to life, and wow!  That guy really did meet that girl, and then something amazing happened: the audience laughed, and cheered, and cried.  For two hours we held them in our hand.  There’s nothing like it.

The way you tell your story makes a difference.

Savory Media exists to tell the suitable stories and help steer the culture toward a more meaningful worldview. Appropriate stories that promote characters of integrity and honor. Stories that overcome. Stories of a life well-lived. Stories of pain and hurt and loss, with redeeming conclusions. Stories suitable to be told.

Is that subjective? Sure. But maybe it is time for someone else to make those decisions. Maybe real freedom doesn’t mean pushing the limits of decency, or that mature storylines must infuse immature and reckless language or images. No, the best creativity embraces its constraints and demonstrates a better way to live. In the process, we raise the bar of quality for the next generation.

We live in an unprecedented time. Media is available everywhere. This moment provides great opportunity for us, as the TV networks lose their influence and the internet gains strength. With all this clutter, who will tell the memorable stories that last?

We believe it is our turn.
